Macramé

To create a lovely macramé hanging basket, you will need cord, scissors and a ring. Cut 7 equal lengths of cord each measuring roughly 90 cm (this can be adjusted as desired) and lay them in half one on top of the other. Place the upper closed end through the ring and tie a loop knot. Next, divide the strands into groups of 4 - there will be two left over for the time being. Now start on the first knot from about 15 cm. To do this, place the left strand over the two in the centre and under the one on the right. Then wrap this strand behind those in the centre. Next pull this strand from the back to the front on the left through the knot you have created. Pull the knot tight and repeat this roughly 15 times. Repeat this knotting process 3x with 4 strands. Knot the two remaining strands below the ring. Now tie together the two strands that are next to each other using a double knot. Repeat this 3 times. Now just link all the strands by securing them with one big knot. And you're done!

Cut a strip of ribbon with scissors. We recommend roughly 45 cm. In the centre of this strip, make a loop for the button. Hang your loop up somewhere so it won't slip. Now cut a length of ribbon about 1 m long, which you tie together in the centre just beneath your knot below the loop. Now knot the strips together as you would to make a pretzel. Make sure you alternate the side you start with. If you always start with the same side, the bracelet will twist into a spiral. Make sure your button will fit through the loop. Alternatively you can use a knot to create a slide closure. And your macramé bracelet is ready!
